You won’t be navigating this journey alone. Each patient has access to concierge Tubman Guides—your personal advocates and connectors to our services. Your Tubman Guides will ensure that your unique needs are heard and met, helping to coordinate care and providing personalized support along the way.

The Tubman Center for Health & Freedom is committed to delivering on what our community has envisioned for healthcare. We’re excited to offer services that our community has asked for, right now. While our permanent Center is being built in Rainier Beach, we’re providing our full model of care through our second community-owned site: The Healing House.
The Healing House, located in South Seattle, serves as a micro-scale version of our transformative care model. It’s a trusted, accessible place for community members to receive holistic care while we continue to refine and test the effectiveness of our innovative approach.
Our space is intentionally designed to be peaceful and retreat-like, with lush gardens, abundant natural light, and community-inspired art. These elements come from a three-year community design process, and together, they create a healing environment where we can care for one another.

We designed the Healing House as a tranquil space within the city, so you can experience a sense of retreat and peace while receiving care. The environment includes lush gardens, art that represents our community, and plenty of natural light.

Yes, we can bill your insurance for our services. If you don’t have insurance, our Tubman Guides are here to help. They’ll support you in understanding your options and determining your eligibility for coverage.

A Tubman Guide is your personal healthcare advocate and guide. They will help coordinate your appointments, connect you to community resources, and ensure your experience is seamless and supportive. Think of them as your partner in navigating healthcare inside and outside of the clinic walls.
