  • Superpower: Ability to “see” people, connect on a deeper level, and create community for doing meaningful work while having FUN!
  • Kryptonite: Dessert. It’s why I keep zero sweets in my house!
  • Known on the streets for: Turning heads everywhere I go. If they’re gonna look, might as well give ‘em something to look at. It’s giving form, function, and fashion.
  • When not at work: I LOVE to sing. It’s my second first passion, after my calling to be a physician. I’ve sung since I was 7, and continue to work on my instrument as a form of intuitive therapy. I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with chosen family and friends all over the country/world. As a social creature, I enjoy a good dinner party; a perfect guest, if I am not hosting. As a foodie, I love brunch; literally an Olympic sport in my household. Finally, I relish staying up to date on my adolescent research in the form of a wide range of TV shows/movies.
  • I identify as: A refined New Englander, a passionate West African, a high achiever with an altruism streak. Also, blessed, gifted, and unapologetically black!
  • I dedicate my work at the Tubman Center for Health & Freedom to…: Serve the community. I do this work because I have a dream that while the system we have to care for our youth and families is inadequate, we can through collaborative action re-envision a health system out of its defined boundaries that intentionally and equitably cares for all.
